7 soldiers and police defect to local resistance force in Magway

Cash awards were presented to three soldiers and four police members who defected to local people’s defene force in Myaing Township, Magway region, on 3 April morning.

Captain Letyar from Battalion 1 of Myaing People’s Defence Force said to Than Lwin Times that each soldier and police received K10.6 million   as they brought three MA-3 guns, two G-3 guns and two G-4 guns  from Regiment 101 and Magway Police Station.

Nearly 40 soldiers and police have joined civil disobedient movement at Myaing PDF up to date.

According to the report of National Unity Government, over 16,000 soldiers have taken part in CDM since the military takeover in February 2021.
