17 junta soldiers killed in Tamu clashes

17 soldiers from the military and 1 member of the People Defence Force were killed in an exchange of fire in Tamu in Sagaing Region on August 23.

According to a source from local PDF, it carried out attacks on junta forces stationed at a technical university outside Tamu around 5 am.

The PDF in Tamu township is a military wing of National Unity Government.
