The National Unity Government (NUG)

U Tin Tun Naing, Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG, said that in the revolution, they had not received any money so far for humanitarian reasons from international partner organizations or foreign governments.

U Tin Tun Naing, Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG, said that in addition to revolution activities with arms, the NUG had been carrying out comprehensive activities for humanitarian affairs, health, maternal and child affairs, and for pregnant mothers. He also said that it was necessary to practically show implementation of policies and procedures.

On Sunday, there was a meeting between the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation-NUG regarding the matters to be discussed in the IPU General Assembly.Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister of Health-NUG, said that the NUG had set a priority for a federal healthcare system, and that they were currently moving successfully towards it.

Revolution Activities

In Maryland State of the USA, make-up artist May Oo and Alinyaung youth organized a fund-raising event named ‘From the art of beauty to Spring Revolution’ on Saturday and Sunday.

In Tantsi of Sagaing Region, an armed group led by an extremist monk named Wathawa was attacked. Reportedly, over 30 members may have died.

As a 393-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.

As a 362-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.

In Tantsi Township, the junta army fired mortars and attacked an IDP camp on Sunday, according to local PDFs.

In Myitnge of Mandalay Region, all the ways to enter and leave the town have been blocked since 8:00 am on 5 March. According to local people, people’s houses and shops in town were regarded as the property of squatters and they were to be removed within two days.

In Chanaye Thazan Township, there was an explosion at the general administration department where the junta armed forces had been taking security measures on Sunday morning. Reportedly, there were no casualties.

Justice Bringer Force announced that they had blown up an ATM of CB Bank owned by Khin Maung Aye due to his involvement in the import of aviation fuel for the junta army.

In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, some gunmen opened fire at the administration office of Ward (5) on Sunday noon. According to local residents, a member of the junta ward administration died.

In Phalan of Chin State, there was a fire in Lampa Ward on Sunday at midnight and 3 houses were burnt to ashes. Reportedly, local people thought that the junta army had done it.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

According to a Karenni State PDF and midland special operation department, 35 junta soldiers died in Dimawso battle on Saturday. In the fighting on Sunday, 2 junta soldiers were caught alive. Reportedly, dead bodies of junta soldiers were piling up.

In Kachin State, there was a fighting between a combined force of KIA+PDF and the junta armed forces between Moenyin and Nantma Village on Monday morning. Reportedly, over 20 junta soldiers died. As for local PDF, they lost 7 members.

In Myawaddy Township of Karen State, there was a battle between KNLA+PDF and the junta armed forces invading Yathaygu Village from Lay Kay Kaw Area on Monday morning.

Reportedly, mortars were fired from the near-by hill where the junta army has been stationed.

In Dimawso Township of Karenni State, there was a battle between the junta armed forces invading the area and Karenni combined forces, starting from 6:00 am Monday.

According to Mindat CDF, they are in need of equipment for clearing mines in Area 3 of Mindat Township in Chin State.

The Military Council

The military junta announced that there would be 24-hour power outage from 12 to 18 March as LNG power plants could not operate due to the high prices of LNG and power grids from Baluchaung hydro-power plant had been blown up and thus, they were making an effort to repair them.

The supervising committee on cooking oil storage and distribution under the ministry of commerce set the lowest price of edible oil at 5940 MMK per viss and the highest price at 6575 MMK per viss.

According to the junta newspaper, the military junta has been carrying out activities to produce value-added products from rice husk and rice bran, by-products of rice mills.

The military junta announced that they had been monitoring fishing vessels via the VMS system installed at fishery departments in states and regions to control the decrease of fish resources in the Myanmar sea due to global climate change and overfishing.

Mg Mg Ohn, the junta minister of information, said that there would soon be activities to resume the movie industry.

Summary on 7 March

Reportedly, the military junta has been in financial and administration hardship. In such a situation, all revolution forces must be in unity in the fight against the military dictatorship. As for the people, they must go against any order of the military junta.

Despite plenty of air strikes in Karenni State, the junta armed forces have had a great loss in ground battles. In Sagaing Region, they have been setting fire to villages. Reportedly, junta-pillar extremist monks took up arms and attacked villages. In the interim administration period after the revolution, religious cleansing must be done.
