The Albino Tiger Battalion (1) announced that the Kawkareik jail in Karen State has been taken over.

The White Tiger Battalion, Kawthoolie Army, Lion Battalion, KNLA combined forces, White Dragon Battalion, Eagle Brigades, and Federal Wings started battling to seize control of Karen's Kawkareik Township as of 7 am on 21 October, according to the Albino Tiger Battalion (1).

"The Kawkareik prison was seized, according to the most recent information. All of the prisoners have escaped and are fighting alongside us,” said a spokesperson for Albino Tiger Battalion (1).

According to Albino Tiger Battalion (1), the area near Kawkareik is currently being Patrolled by the joint KNLA and local PDF forces, and security is tight.

Albino Tiger Battalion (1) stated that two aircraft from the Yangon Hmawbi Air Base had been offering support to junta forces.

"The junta air assault is something we already anticipated, therefore we started to take over Kawkareik Township with good preparedness,” said the spokesperson.

Mizzima was unable to independently confirm that the Kawkareik jail had been taken.
