Up to 12 junta soldiers were reportedly killed in a People’s Defence Forces attack on a school in Su Phyu Kone village, Nwahtogyi Township Mandalay region where the forces were stationed.

The ZERO guerrilla force said on October 15 that their group and ZERO guerrillas opened fire with a grenade launcher on the school where the military council troops were stationed in the village.

Up to 12 soldiers were killed in the shooting.

The attack took place at 10:42 pm on October 14. The ZERO guerrilla force opened fire with a grenade launcher and small arms while military council troops were eating and drinking in their dormitory.

“They are eating and drinking in the school building. When we came, the dogs barked and two of them came out with guns. At the same time, we opened fire with a grenade launcher and small arms shouting the slogans: ‘Are we people united? Yes, we are.
