Five people arrested in Hlegu township

At least five people were arrested in Hlegu township Yangon region on September 17 and 18.

Ma Yin Mar Swe, a factory worker, was arrested by more than ten troops of the military council in civilian clothes at her home on September 19.

On the night of September 18, U Zaw Zaw Aung and U Tun Hlaing, philanthropists, were arrested and taken away by the military council’s troops.

Both were taking an active part in Kayunarshin social workers association and AC 16 social workers association.

On the night of September 17, U Than Win, a former freelance journalist, was arrested by more than ten troops of the military council.

Ko Myo Tun, a workshop owner, living on Thida Aye (2) street, was also arrested.

The families of the detainees have not been given any information concerning their situation so far.
