Two killed, eleven injured in grenade attack on 19th road, Mandalay

Two people, including a 100-household leader were killed and eleven people injured in a bomb blast at two military-related places in Mandalay on September 13.

A grenade was hurled at Kyauk Thabeik police station in front of the royal palace (Near Kyaing Thin Tea Shop) between the checkpoint and on 19 road, between 89th and 90th streets in Mandalay.

An official from Social Welfare Association based on Aung Myay Thar San township the 100-household leader died on the spot and ten people including a policewoman, a policeman, two traffic policemen, firefighters and 100-household leaders were injured in the explosion.

According to initial reports, a severely wounded member of military council was killed, but Mizzima has not confirmed this.
