Each ward and village tract are being asked for a donation of 1 million kyats through the ward and village administrators under the Military to build an oxygen plant in Tharpaung Township, Ayeyarwaddy region.

Led by the township administration, donations are being made mandatory for an oxygen plant in the town.

Tharpaung Township is a township with a lot of illegal logging and locals have criticized the authorities for ignoring the illegal activities because they are collecting protection money from timber smugglers and gambling dens.
