Burmese army-KIA fight at Wawang Kumbang
Fighting happened this morning between 7 and 8 a.m. between Burmese troops and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) at Wawang Kumbang, in Manmaw (Bhamo) District, in Kachin State, Northern Burma, witnesses said.
The area is situated between Chyahkan Dap and N’Mawk on the Myitkyina-Manmaw highway road,
The KIA troops were from Battalion 15, under 3rd Brigade, according to local witnesses.
