23 human trafficking cases in July alone

Myanmar authorities exposed a total of 23 human trafficking cases in July alone, Xinhua reported quoting figures released by the anti-trafficking police force.

Fifty-eight traffickers were taken action in connection with the cases while 37 people, including five children, were victimized last month.

During the period, Shan state registered the most human trafficking cases with seven cases, followed by six in Yangon regions, four in Kachin states and others.

From January to June this year, a total of 371 traffickers were taken action in connection with 126 human trafficking cases while 171 people were victimized.
