Myanmar-India Seminar and Workshop held

The Myanmar-India Seminar and Workshop on Issues of formal and informal trade was held at the Tamu Border Traders Association, in Sagaing Region on March 17.

Officials from Manipur University, the rector of the Monywa University of Economics, officials from the Monywa University of Economics, government officials, company owners from Monywa and Mandalay and border traders attended the workshop.

A number of issues were discussed including policy changes between the current border trade and open trade, Beneficial facilities such as subsidies, improved infrastructure, soft infrastructure as in banking and exchange rates, security inspection, custom inspection, and visas and substantive Investments in the productive economy of the regions (Sagaing and Manipur).
