Ooredoo Myanmar and Mizzima TV sign MoU to provide Digital Free-to-Air Channel exclusively

Ooredoo Myanmar, the leading telecommunication services provider in Myanmar, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for an exclusive partnership with Mizzima TV, a Digital Free-to-Air channel service from Mizzima Media Company at Ooredoo Myanmar Town Hall in Yangon.

Through this partnership, starting from March 1, 2019, Ooredoo subscribers can now watch the Digital Free-to-Air channel of Mizzima TV on the mobile application anytime, anywhere. App subscribers will also be able to replay programmes previously broadcasted by Mizzima TV.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Alok Verma, Acting CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar said, “We are always looking for creative ways to improve and enhance our subscriber’s digital experience. Information and knowledge is very important these days, and everybody wants to have information at their fingertips. We are very glad to sign this MoU with Mizzima TV, because this app provides a lot of informative educational programmes, as well as timely news pieces.”

Ooredoo subscribers can freely choose their application subscription plans for either daily at 80 kyats, or weekly at 500 kyats. The subscription plan will automatically renew for the subscribers, so they do not miss any programmes if their payment plan expires.

Mizzima TV application can be downloaded on Android phones by visiting http://xyz.com. With the Ooredoo SIM card, subscribers can now watch live from anywhere anytime on Mizzima TV application and also, they can watch old programmes broadcast by Mizzima TV by replaying them on our mobile app Mizzima TV.

The programmes available on Mizzima TV app include ‘Money Locker,’ which provides knowledge and information for youths, ‘4 R Health Talk,’ which gives viewers an opportunity to have a direct interaction with medical professionals regarding health issues, ‘Surprise’ programme, which provides knowledge, ‘Tasty Trip’, ‘Colorful Myanmar’, ‘Born to Travel’ programme, which presents unique places around the country, ‘Her World’, ‘Fitness’, ‘Beauty Note’ programmes for women,  and moreover entertainment, news on politics, economics, education, beauty and arts and the latest breaking news from around the world and domestically. Moreover, in collaboration with the famous Fox Digital Entertainment network, Mizzima TV presents foreign TV series to the viewers under exclusive rights in Myanmar.
