Clashes break out in western Myanmar border

Two clashes broke out between the Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army in western Myanmar border while the government and the leaders of the nationwide ceasefire agreement – signatories ethnic armed organizations (NCA-S EAO) were meeting in Shwe San Eain Hotel in Naypyidaw on October 15.

According to the Arakan Army’s Facebook page, the first clash broke out on October 14 and the second clash broke out on October 15.

The first clash broke out in the area which is 5.5 km north of Ohn Thee Wa Village in Paletwa Township at the India border from 4:15 pm to 6 pm on October 14.

The second clash also broke out near Ohn Thee Wa Village for half an hour from 9:45 am to 10:15 am on October 15.

Narinjara News has been unable to find out the casualty lists from both sides.

These two clashes broke out after the last clash on September 21.
