Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approves US$8 million loan for agricultural, livestock development in Chin State, Magway Region

The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approved US$8.984 million loan from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) on September 6 to develop the agricultural and livestock sectors in the Chin State and Magway Region.

The loan will contribute to over 90,000 households and around 430,000 rural residents when agricultural and livestock development is carried out in Mindat and Kanpetlet areas in the Chin State and Pauk and Myaing areas in the Magway Region using this loan.

The loan is interest-free and 0.75 percent per annum will be levied for service charge. The maturity date is 40 years.
