The NLD Congress Convening Committee member Dr. Myo Nyunt said that the second All Myanmar Congress of the National League for Democracy (NLD) would be held in late June.

“The congress will be held from June 23-24 at Myanmar Convention Centre. The Congress will adopt policies for the party and elect central committee members by adding fresh members and will elect central executive members to fill vacant seats,” he said.

The Congress Convening Committee was formed by an NLD CEC meeting held at party HQ in Yangon on May 26.

Dr. Myo Nyunt said that each township will send two delegates, each district will send two delegates and each State/Region will send one delegate.

The first All Myanmar Congress of the NLD was held in March 2013 at Royal Rose Hall in Yangon.
