Zomi Democracy Party Selects Candidates for 2015 Polls

The Zomi Democracy Party (ZCD) selected its candidates for the upcoming 2015 general election in Myanmar on 8 November. The selection was made in the third week of July at Tidim Town, Chin State.

Anthony Kap Khan Khual a ZCD spokesperson said: “It is the final selection to nominate candidates as Members of Parliament. It is at the stage of the township level nomination list and then the election committee will select them within this month."

Under the leadership of Pu Chin Sian Thang the ZCD the party will contest 15 constituencies in the townships of Tidim, Tonzang, Hakha, Kalay and Tamu.

Currently, 20 candidates from different townships have been nominated.  Eight from Tidim Township, nine from Tonzang Township, three from Kalaymyo Township and one from Hakha Township.
