Burma Army soldiers extorted money from a bull trader who was traveling to Mizoram State in India to sell his bulls, allege locals from Rihkhawdar a Burmese town on the border with India.
On 30 June Sergeant Myo Mint, Lance Corporal A. Sein and Private Kyaw U based at Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 268 military camp in Rihkhawdar New Town, Falam Township stopped bull trader Mang Siang Mung at Tui Sen Phai village in Tidim Township and extorted 2,000,000 kyats (approx $1,700USD) from him for the 20 bulls that he was transporting.
A local said that Mang Siang Mung had bought the bulls in Kalaymyo in Saigang Region and was taking them to Mizoram State in India to sell them.
The local said: "He will not get any profit from the sale."
Normally, it takes bull traders at least a month to walk their bulls from Kalaymyo to Mizoram.
