Khaing Lu Hla (Roma Mray) — The Department of Law Enforcement and Public Security (DLEPS), operating under the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), announced today that three women will face human trafficking charges following a raid on the Shwe Ozi "Golden Drum" KTV lounge.
Released alongside photographs of the suspects by the ULA/AA’s Crime and Related News Release Group, the statement confirms that investigators have built a strong legal case against three individuals: Daw Khin Moe Moe Win (56), owner of Shwe Osi KTV and daughter of U La Chaung; Daw Hla Hla Win (45), manager and daughter of U Hla Myint; and Daw Pyae Pyae Win (41), deputy manager and daughter of U Than Maung.
DLEPS personnel arrested the three suspects on May 24, 2026, at 11:15 p.m. at the Shwe Osi KTV premises. The business is located in Thamarat Ward, adjacent to the Ann-Kyauktaw Road in Mrauk-U.
Investigations revealed that the suspects used the KTV establishment as a front for a human trafficking ring. According to authorities, the managers targeted vulnerable women facing financial hardships. They lured unsuspecting victims with false promises of legitimate employment, only to force them into prostitution and exploit their earnings.
Law enforcement officials have formally opened a case under Section 35 of the Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Law at the DLEPS police station, registered as Case No. (P) 29/2026.
DLEPS have secured the crime scene and seized relevant evidence. Authorities added that they are finalizing documentation for all other illegal activities linked to the establishment to ensure swift and robust prosecution.
