Six people were killed and an unknown number were injured in a junta airstrike on Mogok Town in Mandalay Region at around 11:00 pm on 11 November.

A junta aircraft bombed residential areas in the eastern and western parts of Mogok Town, which is under the control of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).

The airstrike destroyed nine houses and killed three people in Lelu Ward, in the east of Mogok Town. In the western part of the town, three more people were killed, and several houses were destroyed.

A Mogok resident said: “We heard the sound of aircraft approaching, but we didn’t expect a bombing attack, so no one sought shelter beforehand. The bombs destroyed houses, killing three people in the east and three in the west of the town.”

The next morning, 12 November, another Mogok resident said to the Shan Herald: “Everyone is worried that more airstrikes might come. Only civilians suffered casualties because the bombing targeted the town area. I don’t think anyone will dare to sleep tonight.”

Junta airstrikes on Mogok Town had stopped after the TNLA took control of the town on 24 July and fighting stopped. This attack on 11 November was the first since then.
