Beware of Junta's Political Traps, Warns AA

The Arakan Army (AA) cautions the people of Rakhine against succumbing to political traps set by the Junta, urging them instead to maintain their grasp on political knowledge, historical experience, and lessons learned from history.

AA reported that the Junta has been forcibly conscripting members of ethnic groups nationwide, and during recent clashes in Rathedaung Township, it deployed Muslim conscripts for combat.

After several accounts of the junta soldiers using conscripted Rohingya in “fake rallies” with

some anti- AA placards ,the AA has now come out to warn people. “The Junta orchestrated  a rally in Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State  on March 19th. The AA warned,“ they are carrying out these rallies with the aim of inciting ethnic conflicts, and attempting to organize a similar protest in Maungdaw Township.”

AA further emphasized the imperative of closely monitoring the Junta's cunning moves in recent days, noting its efforts to divert attention from battlefield setbacks by instigating ethnic and religious conflicts.

AA issued a warning, stating that amid escalating confrontations with the terrorist Junta, any individual or organization collaborating with it, aiding in its attacks, will be considered Junta-aligned and will inevitably face consequences.

AA also declared its steadfast commitment to its original policy of maintaining sole armed forces presence in Rakhine State, reaffirming that no other armed groups will be tolerated within the region.

AA's statement also affirmed its ongoing efforts to seize control of Junta camps in Rakhine State that have not surrendered and are still resisting, while simultaneously striving to ensure stability, administration, development, security, health, and socioeconomic well-being in the towns and villages under its control.
