Concerns Rise as Military Junta Aircraft Patrol Kyainseikgyi Area

Local residents in Kyainseikgyi expressed concern as military junta aircraft were observed flying over the Karen State, Kyainseikgyi area on March 13th, raising fears of potential conflict.

According to a resident of the village, the Kyainseikgyi area is active territory for the New Mon State Party (Anti-military Dictatorship) NMSP-AD, and it's plausible that these military junta aircraft are conducting flyovers.

A Taungpauk resident said, "On March 13th, during the day, military aircraft flew around three times. This caused concern among the villagers, who began preparing their belongings and digging bunkers in anticipation of potential conflict."

According to local residents, Mon villages such as Taungpauk, Winyawseikgyi, Hlaingkani, and Wingabar around Kyainseikgyi township do not engage in fighting, and military aircraft do not fly.

"The Karen Army and PDFs are passing through. There are no aircrafts flying in Taungpauk. After the release of NMSP-AD, they are worried about flying like this. It can happen in battle," said the Taungpauk resident.

The NMSP-AD troops are currently operating in Mon villages within Kyainseikgyi township, located in Mon State. Following the NMSP-AD's declaration of its intent to overthrow the military dictatorship, discussions among Kyainseikgyi residents have focused on preparing for the imminent threat of war.

At present, residents of Kyainseikgyi are preparing for conflict by digging bomb shelters. Furthermore, the NMSP-AD issued a ban on holding events in the Kyainseikgyi area last March 10 as a precaution against the enemy.
