For logging permission, Chinese businessmen in Yunnan province, China bribe Burmese military chief of Kachin State and five army battalions--- LIB No. 319, IB No. 56, IB No. 236, IB No. 105, IB No. 121. Chinese logger said: Maj-Gen Soe Win, commander of Myitkyina-based Northern Command accepted over US$140,000 as bribe from Chinese businessmen in February.
