Information Committee formed for issues in Rakhine State

The President’s Office announced yesterday the formation of the State Counsellor Office’s Information Committee, state media reported on 17 November. The formation of the committee is aimed at real time releasing of information related to issues in Rakhine State, according to the announcement.

The information committee is chaired by Deputy Minister for the State Counsellor’s Office U Khin Maung Tin, while Vice Chairman for the committee is Maj-Gen Soe Naing Oo. Members of the committee are U Kyaw Soe, Managing Director of the News and Periodicals enterprise of the Ministry of Information, Daw Aye Aye Soe,

Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Police Col Myo Thu Soe of the Ministry of Home Affairs and U Zaw Win Aung, Director of the Ministry of Border Affairs. U Zaw Htay, Deputy Director-General of the President’s Office, has been selected as the secretary of the committee
