Two outside experts and a MP from the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) have been proposed for Karen State Hluttaw (state-level parliament).

Col. Aung Lwin, a representative  for the military, was proposed for Border Affairs and Security Minister. Saw Myint Oo (Hpapun 1) and two outsider experts U Soe Hlaing and U Saw Pyi Thar have been proposed for as Electric Power and Industry Minister and Environment, Forestry, Mining, and Road, respectively.

The others are: U Than Naing (Hpa-an 2) and Dr Tin Win Kyaw (Hlaingbwe 1) from the NLD, and U Than Naing as Project, Finance, and Development Affairs Minister and Dr Tin Win Kyaw as Social Welfare Minister.

Dr Tin Win Kyaw told KIC News: “If I become a minister my main priorities will be education and health. Concerning education, I will carry out basic education systematically.”

Unsure what educational standards will be adopted by Union government, he promised to do his best to meet all expectations required of him by developing both education and health. Kyaw said he will advantage of ceasefires to improve these sectors in areas that were previously embroiled in conflict.
