A committee has been formed to oppose the Arakan State Advisory Commission that was announced in Rangoon several days ago.
In a recent statement, the committee stated that the issue in Arakan State is a problem that needs to be solved domestically between ethnic leaders.
The committee claimed that acting in favor of foreign countries for domestic issues will cause unwanted conflicts and harm sovereignty, leading to disunity and mistrust among ethnic people.
The committee rejected the appointment of non-ethnic people in the Arakan State Advisory Commission, including the former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
