Fresh protests in Arakan

A protest was staged Man Aung town, Arakan state, Burma this morning, with protesters making three demands during the demonstration.
A protest was staged Man Aung town, Arakan state, Burma this morning, with protesters making three demands during the demonstration.

An eye witness told Narinjara over telephone that 300 people in Man Aung staged a demonstration by marching on Bandula Road holding two banners.

The banners displayed the demands of the demonstrators' relating to the release of all political prisoners, a reduction in essential commodity prices, and national reconciliation.

The demonstration began at 9 a.m . and concluded successfully at 11 a.m.

This is the first people's demonstration in Man Aung after several demonstrations in one town after another in Arakan State since the last week of August.
